Who can I chose to be on my SGT?
Most people believe that spirit guides are primarily angelic beings – but this is only one small dimension of the many possibilities that exist out there.Spirit guides, can have unlimited shapes and forms. A spirit guide can be gust of air that makes the hairs on your arm stand up, or an immortal being you meet during a shamanic journey.
Listed below are some of main types or forms of spirit guides which you might encounter on your path. Remember, you can have more than one, and most people often do!
The Kingdom of the Ascended Masters is the order of the Christed ones, the evolution that we call the sons and daughters of God or the Saints. Mankind are included in this order. Their destiny is to become the Christ. This order includes beings newly Ascended as well as Ancient Masters who have manifested the Christ consciousness. Ascended masters are beings that have already lived on this earth but have become enlightened, awakened or have transcended the cycle of reincarnation. Thus, ascended masters represent the ultimate teachers and gateways to the divine. It is said that ascended masters, like all spirit guides, teach all people who call on them (not just you) to achieve greater wholeness and harmony in life. Common examples include Krishna, Jesus, Confucius, Kuthumi, Melchizedek, Mary the Mother of Jesus, Babaji, Gautama Buddha, Serapis Bey and many others.
Besides the order of Asended Masters and Men, there are two other kingdoms of spiritual beings most frequented noted: the angelic kingdom and the kingdom of elemental beings. When God created man and commanded him to be fruitful in service, to multiply his graces and to take dominion over the earth, he gave him helpers to assist in the important task of expanding His kingdom. Angelic ministrants and elemental servants of earth, air, fire and water formed accompanied man as he descended to Earth.
“During three golden ages on the earth, man talked freely with his God and associated intimately with angels and elementals. Communion with all life was unrestrained, and cooperation between angels, elementals and men was unspoiled. To man was given the assignment of overseeing creation and working with God to plan, to design, to invent and to direct activities on earth. To the elementals, the builders of form, was given the important task of bringing into manifestation the intents of God and man. And to the angels was given the holy ordination of ministering to the needs of both men and elementals.”
The three orders of the heavenly hierarchy manifest in the power of the threefold flame, the three primary attributes of God: power, wisdom and love. Mankind was intended to reflect the Wisdom of the Christ mind, focusing the genius of God on invention and creativity. They were created to become co-creators with God. In the Three fold Flame They represent the yellow plume of hierarchy.”
The Angelic Kingdom
The pink plume of the threefold flame of hierarchy is the order of the angelic hosts. Their service is to amplify the feelings and virtues of God. The angels and archangels bring the qualities of hope, love, mercy, compassion, charity, constancy and all the virtues that we need to make it in life. The angels help us to amplify these feelings, and they often do this through heavenly music called the music of the spheres.
The archangels are the highest beings in the angelic kingdom, which goes all the way down to the tiniest angel. This kingdom includes the cherubim, seraphim and all kinds of orders of angels under their leaders. Every ascended master has its own legion of angels who serve with it to amplify the flame that he tends.”
The Elohim and the Nature Kingdom
The third order, or kingdom, represents the blue plume of the threefold flame. This is the order of Elohim, or the elemental kingdom. The Elohim are the highest beings in this order. The Elohim are the builders of form, the Seven Spirits of God who responded when God gave forth the fiat “Let there be light; and there was light.”
When God directed the formation of the cosmos in the physical plane, it was the Elohim who brought forth that creation. Under the Elohim are the directors of the devas and elements who, in turn, are in charge of the gnomes, sylphs, undines and salamanders—the elemental beings who take care of the four elements of the nature kingdom.
What is the Deva Kingdom?
Devas are said to be a form of invisible "energy workers" who work on the etheric plane (but can also be on higher planes) that are normally invisible to humans. They are basically creators, and here to create and guard, different areas of Earth and in the Universe. They guard wild places and tend to the processes of life, growth, and death in nature. Asking for their help can help your garden grow and bloom. They make sure your plants absorb the water and nutrients they need, or with the human body to ensure all the processes that needs to be happen.
Deva energy works upon humans on many different levels . The Deva energy activates our neural pathways. Activating these pathways can be compared to loading programs into a computer: it is a type of rapid learning. It is also a de-programming process, a letting go of negative thought patterns and reclaiming who and what you were before you incarnated in this lifetime. Working with the Deva Kingdom creates a deep sense of “Unity Consciousness.”
History of Deva and Mankind
About 30 years ago, the Spiritual Hierarchy of the planet shifted the energy to allow the Deva and Human kingdoms to come into conscious relationship once again, only this time the deva forces would not be allowed to be enslaved as before. The devas now have the autonomy and choice whether to manifest or not . In the past the Devic Realm was more easily accessed during the “between-times”, i.e. dusk, dawn, noon and midnight. These were times when the veils between Realms were their thinnest . Due to shift in energy Devas are available to work with you 24 hours a day.
Half Man Half Beast (Trans-Species)
Many spirit guides manifest themselves as half man/woman and half animal. Examples include: centaurs, fauns, harpys, mermaids, sphinxes, fairies and minotaurs. Many deities also appear as spirit guides, for instance, Anubis (jackal-headed Egyptian god), Ganesha (elephant-headed Indian god), Ra (falcon head, human body) etc.
Many people describe “light beings” (also commonly known as guardian angels), as being their spirit guides. Light beings are said to particularly help people move through traumatic areas of life such as death, loss and grief. Light beings are called such because of their tendency to appear bright, glowing or full of light.
Ancestral guides are entities that have some kind of blood connection to us and our lineage. An ancestral guide could be a recently deceased member of your family (mother, father, aunt, grandfather), or a long dead relative that you have perhaps never met in your lifetime.
Shamans believe that the world and everything in it is composed of vibrant, living energy. This includes plants. Ayahuasca – a psychoactive brew that is made out of a vine commonly found in Peru – is one of the most well-known ways of getting in touch with the spirits of nature. Interestingly the Banisteriopsis Caapi vine is known as “the vine of the souls,” and it is common for all those taking it to feel guided by the plant into the realms of inner and outer existence. Plants can either be symbolic, like in pagan traditions that associates certain qualities with certain plants, or experiential, where ingesting the plant stimulates mental, physical and emotional expansion.
Gods and Goddesses and Cosmic Beings
Gods and goddesses have been worshiped, feared and written about since the dawn of time. They span across every culture, every tradition, every religion and every part of the world. Common gods and goddesses that serve as spirit guides include Isis, Ra, Athena, Quan Yin, Apollo, Lakshmi, Kali, Hathor, Horus, The Green Man and Selene, Sanat Kumara
Also called aliens or star people, star beings come from different star systems and planets all over the universe. Some of the well-known places of origin are the Pleiades, Sirius, and Arcturus but there are many more as well. Star beings can have physical form but others come from the astral realm or from non-physical planes. Most people who chose a Star Guide are probably a starseed, which means that you have lived lives on other planets
Animals are well-known spirit guides called totems. Some ancient cultures, such as the indigenous Americans and Chinese had animals as sacred representations of their tribes or lineages. Today our totems bring in qualities to our personalities that we lack or need such as courage or compassion. These guides helps us to develop certain inner yearnings and needs.
This is from Shamanic Links for more information go to http://www.shamanlinks.net/Power_Animals.htm
In the shamanic belief every thing is alive and carries with it power and wisdom. Power animals are an essential component of shamanic practice. They are the helping spirit which add to the power of the shaman and are essential for success in any venture undertaken by the shaman.
Shamans believe that everyone has power animals - animal spirits which reside with each individual adding to their power and protecting them from illness, acting similarly to a guardian angel. Each power animal that you have increases your power so that illnesses or negative energy cannot enter your body. The spirit also lends you the wisdom of its kind. A hawk spirit will give you hawk wisdom, and lend you some of the attributes of hawk.
Everyone is thought to have a few of these guardian power animals or it is thought that the individual could not survive childhood. Over the course of her or his life the person may have several.
If a power animal leaves and one does not come to take its place the individual is considered, by the shaman, to be disempowered and therefore vulnerable to illness and bad luck.
You are born with 9 animals that bring teachings and messages for greater understanding and insights for our benefit throughout our lifetime. Two of those animals are permanent and never leave me; they are our primary totems — sometimes called Power Animals. We usually know these animals by instinct because we are especially attracted to them throughout our lives. They are not necessarily exotic animals, but can be anything from the animal, bird or reptile families. Sometimes we may even dream about them.
One walks on the left to guard and guide the feminine side of our energies; the other walks on our right to guard and guide the masculine characteristics. Those born with a female totem on the right and a male totem on the left are born with a special kind of energy balance and usually have very important Spirit work to do in their lifetime.
Power animals do not have to be mammals and can be reptiles, insects or sea creatures. Any living creature can serve as a power animal. (Plants and trees can serve as plant spirit guides.) Domesticated animals are generally not considered power animals because they already in service to human beings. It is possible to have a domesticated animal, but it is more likely to have a wild untamed animal serve in the capacity of a power animal.
The gifts that a particular animal is thought to give an individual varies depending on the culture. Although there are certain consistencies for certain animals. A particular power animal can come to help you with an issue that is very specific for you. It is important not to lock each animal into a category, and be open to the gifts it may be coming to share with you. If you are looking for a book on power animals Animal Speak by Ted Andrews is very popular. A popular website: http://www.animalspirits.com
It is important to honor your power animal. In many western cultures we are not taught to value animals or the gifts that they add to our life and the world around us. In shamanic work the power animal is essential, for a shaman who has no power - is not going to have very good results. On a personal level by honoring your power animal you let it know that its assistance is appreciated. The spirit of the animal is giving up its mobility in order to spend its time with you and assist you with your life. Also, by honoring the power animal we make a deeper connection with it. Honoring it can be as simple a saying a thank you inside yourself, or getting an object which represents it and putting it where you can see it as you go about your day.
Shamanic practice honors and acknowledges the life and wisdom that exists in all things. Everything is believed to have something to teach you and animals are thought to have a wealth of wisdom and protection to offer you.
