The Legend of the El Tulle Tree  
Local legend holds that the El Tulle Tree was planted 1,400 years ago by a priest of an immortal called Feathered Serpent.   At the Tree's roots was buried the Heart of Feathered Serpent who brought in the vibrational seed pattern of love and light to Mexico and Central America. According to National Geographic, the Tree is the inspiration for an annual festival in Oaxaca celebrated on the second Monday of October.

The local legend states that Feathered Serpent left the Region due to the mass blood letting but promised to return to the region to bring in a new age of peace, love and harmony.  Tony Shearer who in 1971 published a series of Zapotec prophecies in Lord of the Dawn stated that Feathered Serpent's return would happen on August 17, 1987 to bring in a new Consciousness. Shearer wrote that the El Tule Tree would burst into billions of tiny sparks of green fire through the leaves sending out a new Cosmic Christ Consciousness energy around the planet to implant within every individual's hearts a vision of peace, love, and harmony. In 1976 Robert Coon made special preparations to help activate the New Cosmic Christ Consciousness from the El Tulle Tree in 1987. During a trip to Mexico he prepared the El Tule Tree by planting a device, consisting of rubies and emeralds beneath its roots. This ritual device was designed to activate the instant of Sunrise on August 17, 1987 for the Harmonic Convergence. At dawn on August 17, 1987  people reported that the tree,
"glowed with an ever brightening aura, green in color,  like transparent jade — or emerald".
The Tree’s energy body burst into billions of tiny sparks of light sending shimmering and radiant cosmic vibrations out through its astral leaves and around the planet. This seed vibration of love and light was implanted within each individual’s heart. The impact of that 1987 event is still being registered and assimilated by people around the world.
